As If on Cue by Marisa Kanter

I have to give the book that it made me laugh a few times. But I don’t think you should blow a third act problem in this dimension, because this is a serious trust issue, and not just some misunderstanding. I jumped to the ending and it didn’t seem like the problem got resolved in any meaningful way. Reid just crushed his audition, her dad was there and everything was fine and I don’t think that’s how you should just resolve the issue because it is a big issue in this relationship. And in the end it was like “I never hated you. I always liked you want to act like I hated you was the only way to be close to you.” I would like to read a enemies to lovers or rivals to lovers where both parties really hate each other, despise each other or something like that and then resolve this problem not to have something like “I liked you since the beginning.”
