Commute: An Illustrated Memoir of Female Shame by Erin Williams
5.0
Read for Popsugar 2020 prompt Book By or About a Woman in STEM (Williams is a health researcher)
I initially picked this up purely out of Erin Williams solidarity (I'm no longer a Williams, but old habits die hard I guess) and wow, I'm so glad I did.
The art is a little amateurish, the lettering mirrors my own crazed scrawling, but the writing is unbelievably powerful. A must-read, though be warned there are definitely some massive sexual assault and addiction triggers, if that's something you are worried about.
