I enjoyed this book more than the previous one. The theatrical aspect of the story made it more interesting for me. The plot revolves around Miss Marple visiting her friend Carrie Louise who resides in a Victorian mansion that doubles as a rehabilitation center for delinquents. Carrie's sister Ruth has a premonition of grave danger, which is confirmed when a youth fires a revolver at the administrator, Lewis Serrocold. The police investigate the case and Miss Marple helps them solve it by sharing her knowledge of human nature.
