I think it was a bit better written than the first, although there were a lot of random “convenient” moments where she would just explain herself after throwing something in there (she has a gun! She grabbed it a second ago while you weren’t looking!) (of course she found exactly the spell she was looking for after two seconds!) which felt like a little bit lazy writing. And some solid romance tropes of course. But overall kept me interested.
