Enough Love: Essays of Resilience and Triumph from a Female Romanian Air Force Pilot by Rodika Ponici

5.0

“Here let me help you” Adi jumped in.
“Do you like pickled peppers stuffed with cabbage?” I asked.
“Yes,” he replied. “It’s one of my favorites.”
“I’m not sure I believe you,” I said.
“What if I told you I love you,” Adi said, “would you believe me then?”
I felt the heat of a blush rise through my face and knew that yes, if Adi said those words to me, I would believe him. I answered, “Yes.”
(This is one of my many favorite parts in this story)
Rodika’s story is all about love, determination, and absolute resilience. You can’t help but become engrossed in this story. It was written so beautifully that it felt as though it was a mere novel of fiction and knowing that a person lived through this is amazing. You also can’t help but fall in love with her love story and I am so happy that she was able to overcome all these things to live the life she currently has. And also, kudos to Adi (her now husband) for his determination to become Rodika’s love. I loved reading every bit of this story and I usually don’t read autobiographies.
Would highly recommend and greatly appreciate the opportunity given to me to read her story.
