Hart, you started off so great. Then you wouldn't shut up about Mercy and it became old so quick.

I loved how this book started and I thought the letters were such a neat thing. I'm assuming this is considered "enemies" to lovers but wow do I hate how it was executed in this book. Why do they immediately skip over the (usually important) friendship phase before lovers? Shocking to think I'd find that here cause it was just bone city babes and it was boring.

I genuinely enjoyed Hart (when he wasn't just flat out lusting over Mercy and her body the latter half) but the second half of the book I just could not care about either of them.

Shout out to the side MM romance that was more interesting than this messy one.

Really thought it would be a 4 stars but I took off one for rushed, messy relationship / lovers thing. Another star removed for third act breakup but that's me being a hater of that trope.
