📖👌 Right from page one, I was pulled straight back into this world. The emotion, the action, the mystery, and this beautiful romance. I honestly didn’t want to put it down. The writing flows so naturally, and Jay and Bari absolutely shine in this story. Their chemistry? It's raw, soft, and full of heat and healing.
❤️🔥 The romance is tender but passionate. Watching them slowly drop their walls and choose each other felt so real and so satisfying.
🔎 But it’s not just about the romance... there’s a whole murder mystery thread, intense political drama, and powerful themes around identity, justice, and finding your place. It adds so much weight and meaning to the story.
📚 Even though it’s book two, it’s really easy to follow. But honestly? I’d recommend reading book one first. It gives all the emotional build-up and world context that makes this one hit even harder.
The side characters are still amazing, and the supernatural politics are getting deeper and more layered.
🥰 And I loved that "Brady Bunch" (group chat Bari had with his family), it was full of humor and warmth. It made my heart so happy because he really needed that kind of support.
