I laughed a lot reading this but it was still the worst thing I’ve ever read. I have no idea how this was traditionally published, and by MacMillan???? I would expect this from Red Tower.
I still couldn’t tell you what the plot was. It felt like it was the worst kind of stream of consciousness storytelling. The author started somewhere and just went “guess we’ll see where this goes.” Even the mystery wasn’t completely resolved. Two girls disappeared, they found one and the other they just wrote off as “we don’t know what happened to her, whatevs”
The characters are vague as hell, Corvina kept saying “these are my friends and I love them so much” but I knew nothing about any of them. I didn’t see the twist coming but only because there was no setup for anything and no follow through either, it was just terrible. This was purely written for the student teacher smut and it’s fine if that’s all you’re looking for, by far the smut was the most enjoyable part of the book and it served its purpose as self-insert fantasy if that’s what you’re into.
