I have seen this all over Bookstagram and decided to give this a go. This is my first RH series so I went into it with an open mind. I liked that this book was a faster read because it was written in easy to read language. The world building was a little too slow because I didn’t really understand the bonds until ~75% through and was still missing some vital information that I assume will be revealed in later novels.
I wanted more substance between Oli and her bonds out of this book, but I suspect it is going to be a slow burn. I was ready to quit because I couldn’t stand not knowing her powers but I pushed through and I’m happy for it. The author does a great job of making you want more because I finished this in no time. I am looking forward to reading more and really getting into more plot and interactions between the characters.
