This was an absolute VIBE! I had a great time! My little human heart melted, I smiled, I laughed, I swooned. You know I always go for retellings, and this was no exception! I loved the nods to Pinocchio and all the characters felt real and loveable! It did something that a book hasn't done for me in a while—made me actually worry that it wasn't going to end happy! It was so beautiful and charming and cozy—and it has a sprinkle of ace rep! The only reason I didn't give it five stars was because I wanted to go a little farther into the future of the characters and see the calm after the storm, if that makes sense! I don't know if this is just me, but I'm not content with just the hint of an HEA—I have to be fully resolved and with nothing up to the imagination lol! But that's just a me thing! Regardless, I really loved this, I thought it was super unique and especially impressive since I don't especially love sci-fi! Although why were the acknowledgements so cryptic haha?! Def a solid 4.5!
