Looking for Alaska by John Green

4.0

I'm not as big of a fan of this book as I was with The Fault in Our Stars and Paper Towns. I didn't really care what happened mid way through, it just sort of... Happened.

I wasn't as emotionally connected to Alaska or Miles, and the characters themselves had weird attributes that made me want to avoid them. The Colonel can recite every country Capitol in the world and Miles memorized famous last words?

Maybe it's a boarding school thing.

Aside from that, I liked the thought of a simple high school novel without something drastic happening. (TFIOS!) it was a nice break in between.

John Green again amazed me by his magnificent use of language like in all of his novels. Though this book was very anticlimactic. I didn't like the ending. It just kind of fell....

I don't know, not as big of a fan, but still a fan.
