S. by Doug Dorst, J.J. Abrams

5.0

I loved S. and am sad to have finished it. The stories that fill it's pages are (amidst a wide range of other adjectives) captivating, heartwarming, and thrilling. J.J. Abrams and Doug Dorst both have my sincerest gratitude for such a wonderful literarily fueled experience! There is so much good to say about this book. It's written well, on all levels, and is truly the work of some wonderful minds! I loved that the ending left me feeling like I hadn't missed anything important. I feel like, all things aside, the message to be received is this: the important thing is to make the most of the time you have with the people you love.

That being said, there's still so much mystery that surrounds S.'s pages! Better, or more dedicated, men (and women) than I are still trying to unravel its mysteries. I look forward to seeing how many more of these ciphers "the internet" can decode :) Who knows, maybe someday S. will be solved. I hope so, and I love that this book will have me checking back on it for maybe years to come.
