Frenemies by Nicole Blanchard

5.0

I absolutely loved this story! The characters were fantastic and sucked me in from beginning to end. They have great witty banter that goes back and forth. They are both fantastic at the comebacks. They had always been at odds growing up and it hasn't changed. Dash asked Layla out in elementary school and she turned him down multiple times and they they started the one upping each other and became "frenemies". Dash has always known he'd like to be more but has never really had the opportunity. Layla is in complete denial about the attraction and doesn't know that Dash truly likes her like that. It was great seeing them start to figure that out. I absolutely loved the way that Dash handled the transition. It made me fall in love with him even more. I loved how he cared for Layla with the little things and the way that he wanted to care for her feelings and make sure that she was good with everything. This book was easy to read because I was so engaged and drawn into it. I truly loved it and am super excited to get another book in the series. This is the second book but can be read as a standalone no problem.
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
