I will admit, like others, I struggled with the narration of this book. But once I got used to it and could really focus on the story I was amazed that someone could survive so much. One of his medical diagnoses alone would be enough for one person and he ended up with all of those things happening? It’s not something you usually see…and to still have such a positive outlook now. He just seemed so humbled by the experiences and, while I can’t relate to any of it, it just made it feel more relatable than others that I’ve read.
