A Wildflower in the Wind by Megan Shade blew me away! This book was everything I needed – a masterful blend of slow-burn romance, a “touch her and die” protective MMC, and just a sprinkle of love triangle tension to keep me hooked. The world-building was stunning, with a beautifully crafted magic system and rich history that brought the story to life.

Our fierce FMC, Azalea (or Lea), is a beacon of love and loyalty, fiercely protective of her family and her found family, always standing up for what’s just and fair. And then there’s our MMC, the brooding Commander Gray – aka Shadow Daddy. Oh boy, the tension is real. That cliffhanger at the end? I saw it coming, but it still hit just right, leaving me absolutely desperate for the next book.

If you love slow-burns with a touch of magic and a dash of heartbreak, this one is a must-read. I’m diving into the second book immediately!
