The Comfort of Crows: A Backyard Year
by Margaret Renkl
This book was not at all what I thought it would be based on the title. I found myself deeply engrossed in the vividly descriptive writing that had an almost meditative effect on me.
I learned a lot about the importance of different plants, insects and animals and pondered my own actions and their consequences on nature. I couldn’t relate more to the description of Daylight Saving Time. I definitely find myself with a different perspective after reading this book.
Short and sweet and succinctly pointing out the effects of climate change and the circuitous relationship between nature and humans, this book will leave an everlasting impression on me.
