there was a lot of back and forth, him asking for a chance, her refusing to give in. if that's the kind of slow burn you're in the mood for, i'd recommend.
i jumped on this book bc of the teaser kandi steiner gave of the kiss cam when he steals the kiss bc the guy wouldn't do it. that paints Zach to a T. he is confident, spontaneous, brave, loveable, and compassionate.
at first, i couldn't reconcile their inner monologue with their dialogue and that was bc these two were dealing with a lot internally. but together, it was sexy, beautiful, and so kind and sweet. kandi always includes sports into her books so well and she didn't disappoint here. i'm a fan of Gemma and Zach and mostly Kandi herself.
