Seven Days: Monday–Sunday by Venio Tachibana

This book... means a lot to me.

I always seem to reread it a couple of times a year. It's my comfort book-- a gentle, warm story to cozy up to. It's amazingly romantic and pleasantly surprising. My first few rereads I always picked up on or saw something new. The characters are believable and the art is perfectly atmospheric even if rough in a few spots.

The story itself is one I cherish very much. It's funny, it's sweet, it's fluffy. I urge anyone who enjoys romance of any kind to pick it up. There's nothing explicit and it's honestly one of my favorite stories (and manga) of all time, time has only strengthened my love for it. Genuinely cannot recommend it enough. I almost wish I could write to Tachibana herself to tell her how much this week-long book means to be, if that's not too dramatic (lol).

Watching the relationship between the two is nice. It's wonderfully paced and the dialogue really shines at times (the ending line stands as one of my favorite lines ever). The cast is great and I feel like I'm with them on that warm Japan day as well. The art has some nice, calm moments as well that really help the atmosphere. The way the art and the story work together is something only a manga could achieve...

I just hope that any part of this review helped encourage you to read it. It's a quick read (only two volumes!) and a great romance so you're sure to get *some* enjoyment out of it, which I hope you do! If you're looking for a romantic, sweet read for a relaxing day, please pick this up!
