The rare story that’s as good as everyone says it is. I didn’t love everything, but I loved a lot and liked damn near everything. Fiona Staples creates the kind of world that could only exist in comics, so stylish and stellar to look at. BKV’s writing hews a little heavy-handed, but the (many) characters are compelling, and he did well at what he always does well: making me care. Completely worth the hype and I’m so glad I read it.
Graphic: Gore, Blood, Death, Cursing, Drug abuse, Gun violence, Injury/Injury detail, Addiction, Sexual content, and War
