I read these out of order (3, 1, 2). So far book 1 is my favorite. This one was enjoyable though like book 3 it felt rushed - from character development, to the spicy scenes, to the climax, it all just goes a little too quickly. The author could take more time and add more nuance. The plot and character arcs are good. With more breathing room they could be great. Loved Rosie. Cadoc is a sympathetic character but could be explored more in-depth. As with book 3, I want more of the secondary characters, with Nia and Bevan being obvious favorites. Agree with other readers about plot holes and unresolved issues. <spoilers> Why is Rosie’s wolf so big? Does she have magic? And Abertha’s back story with Madog  was just barely skimmed with no follow up. This is an example of the rushing - major plot point for a character that appears in every book so far and it is maybe given a page? </spoilers> There were also unresolved issues in the other two i have read. One of the plot holes in this one (related to disappearances) seems to get taken up in a future book so I am hoping maybe at some point the books will start to converge a bit and things will be filled in. I am willing to give the benefit of the doubt and keep reading but will be annoyed if this doesn’t come together!
