Women Without Men: A Novel of Modern Iran by Shahrnush Parsipur

5.0

Review from my insta (@fie07 check it out, mates!): A book about five women. One who seeks motherhood outside of the heteronormative institution; she wants to become a tree and spread her seeds. Another who does not dare to show her madness so she sings her screams. All women suppresed by the males around them who decide to turn their backs on society and live in a garden. Brutal, poetic and full of nerve. ⠀
