This book was interesting. There are 2 stories being told at the beginning of this book. One story of a renowned taxidermist in Boston who was murdered and a missing snow leopard pelt. Detective Jane Rizzoli and Medical Examiner Maura Isles are on the case. The other story being told is of people on a safari in Botswana and the safari goes tragically wrong. You think, as you're reading, that these stories are taking place in parallel, but the safari story is actually 6 years prior to the taxidermist murder. Yet, they are connected. Rizzoli and Isles figure out how they are connected and then realize that they are looking at more than just the taxidermist murder.

This is a great series (and the TV show was pretty good too!) but this book left me a little....well, I don't know. There was a lot of animals being killed and gutted...so, if you don't like to read about that, then this book might not be for you.
