Sayaka Murata has tuned into the brains of outcasts everywhere. Though the book’s length of course limited the depth of character development, something is beautiful about the minuscule snapshot into Keiko’s life
still revealing practically everything about her. Saw myself in much of her confusion as to how society is set up and why. A well-done, matter-of-fact look at life for those less in tune with society’s expectations.
