Not My Daughter by Barbara Delinsky

4.0

I read this book quite quickly. It was interesting to read the perspective of 17 year olds who want so badly to get pregnant and be single moms - just like their mothers. The mothers are all tight-knit friends who are trying to encourage one another during this time, as they try to guide their daughters to do the right things, to care for them when times get difficult, and to ignore the critiques of neighbours, coworkers and strangers. Overall it was well-written and had some powerful moments.
