I surprisingly, really loved this book. I don't admittedly remember what called me to read it (no pun intended) and I was kind of surprised I picked a religious book for being fairly unreligious myself, but this surprised me in a good way, and I loved where this ended.
The writing is really rich, and for a story told in the past, it still felt true to the time but also easy to follow. After I got through that first bump of the book as she's arriving at the abbey, I found myself reading the book in huge chunks.
It's hard to say anything wrong with this book, it flows well narratively and I had a hard time thinking of things to critique. It's a really solid novel that I think a lot of audiences would enjoy, and I'd highly recommend it!
