i only started this book after being heartbroken by the tv series finale, and i am not sure i should have gone through with it. both eve and villanelle have little to no personality on the pages, v’s only personality trait is sex, while eve’s is worrying about whether she should care about fashion more (should’ve started a count at this point, i swear it was mentioned about five times). the murders in the show are far more exciting and so are the side characters. the t slur is present in the text, so that also speaks volumes. not a very pleasant read. most likely won’t read the rest of the series considering i am scared how a man could write a wlw relationship. yikes.
