Beautifully twisted

As there's a shiny new cover I figured it was time for a re-read and an actual review this time round.

This is one of my favourites of all Devon's books because it makes you think. Yes there's the usual amount of insane sex (someone give them some lube please ;) ) but it's not what's driving the narrative.

This isn't a love story, although there is definitely love in it, but a "what if?" What if the Devil wasn't the bad guy but instead he'd left his Almighty lover because he was a cruel tyrant incapable of allowing free will? What if God was the one you should be worried about and he was planning the Armageddon himself?

In Clipped, angels and demons are real but they go by different names and everyone is searching for the Christ child who is going to destroy the world.

This book is a headrush which invites you to challenge all Christian traditions and treat them as only one possible side to the story and I love it.

Subversive, sexy, scary, sacrilegious, scandalous and a whole load of other words beginning with s like seductive and sadistic, don't look for hearts and flowers here.
