The fact that it has taken me THIS LONG to read this book is incomprehensible! This is the second extremely hyped book that I have tried out recently... and boy did they live up to my expectations! I adored this book! It is by far my favorite romance I have ever read!
Take a vacation from life with this book! We follow Poppy while she is currently going through "millennial ennui", and she fears she will never get out. (Millennial Ennui being that feeling when you complete all of your current goals... and no longer have any challenges in life). When she realizes that the only thing she yearns for now is her old best friend Alex... she is forced to reach out after two years of not speaking to one another.
Up until 2 years ago, Poppy and Alex have been going on yearly vacations together, where they lose their sense of reality and just simply experience life together in a different location. These vacations were the highlights of each of their years, so life hasn't been the same since they stopped.
When Poppy is invited to Alex's brothers wedding... Alex and Poppy give their friendship another go! Will they be able to rekindle their friendship? Or will their chemistry shine brighter?
WOW this is such a great, lighthearted, and fun novel! I absolutely adored the characters. AND DON'T EVEN GET ME STARTED ON THEIR BANTER! I know everyone says this... but it is just too precious! I actually laughed out loud while reading it! If you haven't read it... your truly missing out.
