“i meant to tell you earlier,” he says with one last devastating smile, even though i just broke his heart and mine, “you were beautiful tonight."

ahh this was such an adorable and fun read!!

especially if you love the romance and dreamy scenes in kdramas, this book would definitely be enjoyable to read. i loved the friendships that developed, both in jenny's school and with the k-pop group, xoxo, who formed amazing supporting characters. i wouldn't mind to read a spin off about sori and nathaniel!!! the secret romance between jenny and jaewoo is so *clenches fist* sweet, i adore them and adored to read about them being infatuated with each other!

the setting, seoul and the korean culture is so refreshing. axie paints a stunning picture of it like the city has come alive. i love that it touched upon topics like family bonds, idol culture and mental health. and jenny is definitely a relatable protagonist, striving for her future and excelling at her talent, cello. i really liked the ending! it felt realistic with them following their dreams but also it was happy.

xoxo is a feel good rom-com, a story that simply makes you smile giddily!!
