Flaws of characters a main focus:
Complicated
I was so nervous to start this but, man, now I'm mad I hesitated.
The characters are so vibrant, and I want to hug just about all of them.
I loved the easter eggs from ACOTAR and ToG.
The plot is immaculate and a wild ride that had me so hooked I didn't want to put it down, but I also didn't want it to end. (thank goodness there are 2 more!)
I sat on the edge of my seat, cheered, laughed and cried.... safe to say I felt some real emotions reading this book.
The audiobook narrator, Elizabeth Evans, knocked it out of the park (as she always does with SJM's books).
The only thing keeping this from being a full 5-star for me is the complexity of the world building right at the beginning of a new series. It took a few spoiler-free guides and some re-reading for me to grasp what was going on. Once I was on track it was very enjoyable, and a re-read will flow much better. But for a first time read it was A LOT of information to keep track of and learn. If you find yourself overwhelmed, please keep going. Take notes to reference or look for spoiler free guides to reference if you want. But please keep going!! It gets so so good!
