A Farewell to Arms
by Ernest Hemingway
Absolutely understand why this is a classic and the symbolism in it is wild. Hemingway is obviously one of the most talented writers of his generation and has such a unique and cutting style. Nothing but admiration. Unfortunately, I did find it a bit of a slog to get through. Underdeveloped and shallow characters also detracted from the experience. Also just one of those instances where I remember how hard it is to be someone that loves classic lit but is also a feminist.
