Winter Counts by David Heska Wanbli Weiden

Would we call this a mystery/thriller?

Predictable and the dialogue leaves a lot to be desired. The author very much wanted to tell the reader about very specific elements of Indian/Native American culture and stereotypes, but the attempt to weave all of those things into the bigger story fell short. I never got the feeling that all the characters belonged together in this story. However, the story itself is generally entertaining and I did care to know how it ended.
