She’s done it again folks!! Gretchen Felker-Martin absolutely crushed her third novel— it was sooo good! What I especially loved about this plot was that the usual body horror in Felker-Martin’s books was paired with this kind of haunting/“being watched” feeling that is just so unsettling. Ellen was that main character who you kind of hate for a while but also feel bad for… love a nuanced MC and the supporting characters were just interesting and fleshed out enough for you to follow them as well. I was so thankful that there wasn’t an over abundance of switching storylines based on each character like there was in Cuckoo. Overall, awesome read— I couldn’t put it down! Thank you to my beloved girlfriend for sharing her arc with me 🖤
