This sets up so much for the coming volumes while also giving great insight into our characters. Ichigo is primed to fight the most violent of the guard captains, and it does not look like it will end well. Splinters are showing in the Soul Reaper ranks as a beloved captain is seemingly murdered by a comrade. Man, the Soul Society world-building is endlessly fascinating.

Any volume that is Chad-heavy has my eternal adoration.

Very sweet side story at the end as well.
