A Wish in Irish Falls (Wishing Tree, #2). by Jen Gilroy

5.0

**TW**
This book mentions death, grief, loss but in a light way. In case you're sensitive to these topics, it may be safe to avoid reading. If not, read away and enjoy!!

First off this book has bonus points because:
1. Mention of my home country
2. Mention of the west of my home country
3. Mention of my home county
4. Mention of my language
These. All these things just added that homely and comfort feel for me. This book has now become an ultimate comfort read.

It's light hearted, beautifully written and has lovely character connections. The characters are believable, their struggles, their moods, their thoughts, their relationship, everything.
Walker and Tara had this connection in which I, the reader, could feel the moment they met. They met all thanks to a stray puppy in which Tara found while driving. From here, they meet again and again, until eventually the reality of living in a small town comes to them... Let's just say things began to develop from here.

I love how this book was set in a small town and how Gilroy had perfected what life is like in such a small town. Growing up in a small town myself, I felt even more of a connection to the book because of this factor.

Gilroy has a way with words in which helps readers immediately connect to either the setting, the characters or both. I love this as it makes the book even more of an enjoyable comfort read.

Gilroy has written a wonderful light romance fit for these winter months when you're looking to read a book, curled up by the fire with a cup of tea or hot chocolate.

I would so recommend and definitely think my contemporary lovers will greatly enjoy this read as much as I did.
