im rly truly not that good at writing out the way a book made me feel other than screaming and crying in a keyboard smash all KSDHFSIUFINJD style, but GAH this book had me clutching my CHEST and writhing around PATHETICALLY, i love :(((( loren and felix ::(((( SO MUCH URGHHGGHHGG :::::::::::::::::::((((((((((((((((((((( the character development was so well done and realistic, it made sense to me. the yearNING was OUGH and i found their attraction and eventual love believable despite the story only taking place within like a week. i believe the key to writing a love story that happens quickly is to make it so that the world is ending around them so that the pressure is on fr, that trauma bond core type shit (see: the spear cuts through water, my beloved HAHA). the side/supporting characters were are just as real and fleshed out to me as felix and loren, and i loved the relationships and connections they had with one another. as soon as i finished reading this morning, i immediately went back to start tabbing all the scenes that had me swooning or otherwise getting all emotional over the boys URRGHH and that's something i haventdone since i read spear, which says a lot for me because anyone who knows me knows that spear is my god tier level book. that being said, VESUVIUS WAS SOOOO GOOD WAAAHH I MISS MY BOYS ALREADY. and i would so highkey consider getting a tattoo for felix and loren the way i did for keema and jun, dont even joke lad.
