Murder in an English Village by Jessica Ellicott

5.0

That was really, really fun. American adventuress and her English school friend reconnect years after they have finished school and gone their own ways. What starts as a small white lie leads to two investigations - one about a missing person and another about a murdered woman. The story is so well written, enhanced by a look into the Land Army, social customs of war and post war, and then brought off fantastically by good character development and side plots. Loved it. It was just what I needed. By the way, yes the editing needs work. There were punctuation, grammar and other such mistakes but not terribly lots. I managed to hop past them all.
