The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins

4.0

In the future, North America is ruled with an iron fist. To remind the districts that comprise the country of a failed rebellion, they've created The Hunger Games; which pits a boy and a girl, ages 14-18, from each district against each other in a fight to the death.

It's a fast-paced story with a surprise at every corner. Katniss, the heroine, is feisty and easily sympathized with. Only a few of the other combatants have their characters fleshed out so you feel loathing or pity for them and the others become but faceless victims. It's a very solid plot and an easy-to-read writing style. Methinks I'll continue the series, you should pick this book up and do the same.
