The Fine Print
by Lauren Asher
The last time I attended a funeral, I ended up with a broken arm. The story made headlines after I threw myself into my mother's open grave.
From here I knew it was going to be a great book, even though I was afraid it would turn into a disaster. Thank God, IT DIDN’T!
Rowan Kane got me. I kicked my feet and giggled into my pillow at 3 am because of him. He's just a fictional character, he’s just a fictional character…
Rowan: That was highly inappropriate.
Me: I think your phone has been hacked.
Rowan: I can assure you it hasn't, but I can't say the same about my brain. I tend to do stupid things around you.
Me: I’m in line for the Spooky Castle ride.
Rowan: A line?
Me: Allow me to educate you. A line is a thing that patient people wait in when they can't afford to purchase the quick skip passes your company sells for the price of a liver.
Rowan: If someone offers you a liver for two hundred dollars, run.
*muffled screaming*
”Go back to the last slide.” Rowan’s voice hits me like a bucket of ice water.
“Oh, it's nothing important. Just a mock-up. And you have a meeting now anyway.”
His nostrils flare. “I wasn't asking.”
Of course you weren’t. That requires the kind of manners you’re severely lacking.
His jaw ticks. “Now, Ms. Gulian.”
YES SIR!
I'm so weak for him omg. Why was this book so f good? Maybe I'm exaggerating, but I've always appreciated a book for how it made me feel
