An operative chances upon the photojournalist who had wronged him while on mission. We met Seth in the Wilde series, where he was suffering severe PTSD from. He may be broken but there's determination to prove himself. Phoebe is brave and compassionate, and never sees Seth differently. The romance is slow burn (with his trauma), though the chemistry is very much present.
There's emotion, there's angst and Phoebe fights hard to make him see his worth. The push pull fits the context, with their feelings and trust slowly deepening. Their romance works - it's great to see Seth returning to his old self, but Phoebe kept her secrets for far too long. I'm not fan of prolonged secrets causing late drama, and it felt like a deus ex machina for the HEA (still glad they got there). Very intense action, but team times are less fun this round.
