Engaging, warm and humorously written, but let down by unbelievable support characters who I just got frustrated by. I'm happy with any book that makes me laugh, and this did. But it was too saccharine for me and relied on character behaviour that didn't seem remotely realistic.
It worked as a lighthearted set of observations from the pov of the main character, and that much was fine. But as the foil for most of Jane's actions, Duncan wasn't even 2-dimensional. I could enjoy Jane's thoughts and reactions to events in her life, but I had a harder time believing or caring about them.
