Wicked Bite by Jeaniene Frost

4.0

Something gleamed in his eyes. An expectant light that belied his trapped circumstances. “We’re not nearly finished with each other, my clever, calculating wife.”

It's official! I am in love with the Night Rebel series! I just can't believe how damn good Ian and Veritas’ story is! And it is really different! Demons, Dark Magic, & Gods! Oh! I just love it! I know it was so very painful waiting for this book after the ending of the last one, but let me tell you, WICKED BITE was worth the wait!

We begin the story where we left off with Ian with vague memories gunning to find Veritas. And let me tell you I absolutely fell head over heels in love with Ian in this book! Veritas took every chance to try and ditch Ian, but he wasn't letting up! They finally come to an understanding and decide to work together to finish what they started with the demon, Dagon! And I enjoyed every minute of their time together!

“To clarify, I might not have known your name, how we came to be together or why you’d left me, but you were not erased. That’s why I was willing to chase you to the point of proving our marriage to a council I despise. It’s also why I’m not going anywhere now. I won’t let a little danger stop me from fighting for what I want.”

And oh, my god! Veritas being in love with Ian and not wanting to push for more from him when it is so damn obvious that he loves her! I mean, I get it, it's Ian we're talking about and we all know Ian! He is deathly allergic to commitment and marriage yet every chance he gets he reminds Veritas of their martial status. And it is hilarious how overprotective Veritas is of Ian! Mencheres is too, but it's so funny! This guy is more than capable of taking care of himself.

We are introduced to some new characters and I am in love! Let's just say I want more of these characters in the next book! And I love whenever the Night Huntress Gang gets together! It just brings a big smile to my face when everyone's together! And oh, my god! That ending! Let's just say that the next book is gonna be so freaking good! I am more than ready to learn about Veritas' family history. And before I forget, fuck the Vampire Council!
