Strong character development: No

Diverse cast of characters: No
Flaws of characters a main focus: No

We're following the story of Kyrii who goes through various cyberdungeons that's full of cyborgs and crazy looking non-human creatures that attack anything in their way.
-------
Short and simple:  Giving it a 4 because I got into it not knowing a lot and came out of it still with questions. But the more I continue with the series, more information I might get about the world, characters and the plot. The art style is the storyteller. It is beautiful, eerie and tense.
-------
Long reason: Kyrii is a man with a few words. It's very evident has going through this first volume there is very little dialogue throughout, he even doesn't have an inner dialogue for himself so you barely know what he thinks. But I did understand the worldbuilding and how dangerous it was just by the illustrations.

The illustrations are spooky, dark and eery, which makes it so tense. Another cool thing in this volume was the battle scenes. They were powerful. The creatures in this story have different abilities that are gnarly (that's in a chilling and horror way), if you have read any Junji Ito, it's kind of like that but sci-fi. The only way to get through them, Kyrii uses a tiny gun the blasts out a powerful beam which destroys like a part of the enemies.

I like the the manga enough to continue it, which is surprising as I'm not a big fan of sci-fi, but this first volume was enough introduction to get the initially understanding of what he's going after and the way will come as you continue throughout the series.

I hope that we get to know more about Kyrii and the characters that he'll be tagging along with, as well as another person who came with him in the beginning.
