My Name is Hope: Anxiety, depression, and life after melancholy by John Mark Comer

informative inspiring reflective fast-paced

5.0

Honestly, this book was my lifeline during my darkest days. This is story of a pastor (from Portland, OR) who shares part of his personal story how he overcame the horrors of anxiety and depression and came out the other side. His writing style is easy to read, ingrained with scripture that’s always pointing you back to Jesus, and a raw storyteller that makes it feel like he’s talking directly to you. He challenges you not to run from you anxiety and depression, but to sit in it, find the root, and move toward lasting heal. Hope is our lifeline. He shares practical tips and strategies to conquer anxiety and depression and heal your soul. I encourage anyone who’s struggled with anxiety or depression to read this book.
