Jeez Louise, it's insta-lust and basically insta-love where everything is spelled out for you. It's also repetitive. A reoccurring theme is Leo: I'm not ready to come out, Archer: Take your time, I totally understand.... *5 minutes later* Archer: So are you going to come out to your friends/family? No? I'm disappointed again. Annndddd repeat again in the next chapter. Also, Leo's reasoning for not wanting to come out felt really off and a touch homophobic?
I have no problem with sex in books but it felt like it was all they did and it wasn't even well described. Also, very surface level and not realistic sex, where was the foreplay, where was the prep? Non-existent. And again, repetitive. I reckon I could re-write the scene word for word and tell exactly what they are going to do first and then next and then after that.
Archer's dad is basically emotionally abusive throughout the whole book but it's all fine because *insert twist here*. Na, it doesn't sit right and wasn't a good excuse for it.
This book was just lacking for me, I don't think I vibe with the author's writing style.
