Little Fires Everywhere by Celeste Ng

I normally don't go for such a contemporary book like this... but the drama was just enough to keep me interested the entire time.

I also weirdly related to a lot of the subplots. I too have felt like Pearl in situations with wealthier and " more perfect" families that weren't like mine. I had a Lexi, Moody, and Mrs. Richardson in my life as well, and I understood the challenges teenage Pearl was confronted with. Because of this relation to the situation... the book was a lot more personal for me. The arrangement of characters and the depth that NG gave them was very interesting as well (I would have enjoyed more Trip content, but that's just me)! I wasn't completely satisfied with the ending... considering how close I felt to the character's new relationships with each other. I do understand why it had to end that way though!

Overall, I definitely can see why this would be a great book club book!
