This book could have been terrible, it really could. There was such scope for a lesser writer to have messed this up but Matt Haig had the skill to pull this off and boy did he pull it off. This is a book that will change your life if you let it. I don’t say that lightly. It is a study of the human race from an outside perspective, which unless there is something we don’t know about Matt, I would think would be almost impossible to write, and yet it feels absolutely real. It’s a story of love and loss and it’s funny in places and really sad in others. Just stop reading this review and go and read this book.
