This is our book club’s buzzy book of the month and after reading Strange Pictures, i just went straight to Strange Houses expecting another mind boggling, intriguing and interactive Uketsu reading experience and mygoosh it was waay creepier! 🫣

The first 10 pages already instantly crept me out! I had so many theories so with every revelation I try to pause, absorb and connect this to that, recalling the family tree branch- the roles of each member mentioned and their motives. At some point, I’d say this plot is crazy and unbelievable but as they weave the story, it starts to make sense and rolls on with more intensity! 😱

I was in between moments of shock and curiosity and wanted to pause and absorb what’s happening but then it’s just that- you can’t stop reading! 😳

This was another cleverly plotted crime story that digs deeper and deeper into the mystery of it all and had kept my reading focus for a whole day! I was hanging on to every word, going back some pages to reread some lines and I feel like I’ve stared at that house layout for hours that I got it memorized and like the story, just lingered on in my head. 😵‍💫

It had the same intrigue with Strange Pictures but the vibes are way more darker! It creeps into your skin like you just watched the scariest Japanese horror movie leaving you speechless and brain shocked and your questions had more questions! 🤯

I had fun chatting about the hype of it all with my friend Dale, we were both very delighted with both books and definitely excited for Strange Buildings! ‼️
