There were aspects if this book that I felt were done very well and felt very true to life. The manifestation of mental illness, thr relationships that the characters had with their parents, and parts of their own relationship were good. The writing felt manic in a way which helped you feel like you were in that headspace. That being said there were parts of the book that just felt convoluted for the sake of being convoluted. Like the author was trying to be smart which in turn just felt like it got in the way of the story being able to breath. I am also unsure of why there are so many random narrators. The beginning of the story until the two main characters meet almost had me dnf the book.
Graphic: Mental illness
