brittanykrug25 's review for:
Siege and Storm
by Leigh Bardugo
Ahhhh okay, I feel like I can breathe easy again. I just love Bardugo’s writing, how she makes her main characters make sense. All of their actions are understandable, whether Bardugo explains them outright or the reader can understand why they do something based on what they already know about the character.
I reread this book as a palette cleanser after ACOTAR. Alina vs. Feyre is an easy argument for me, Feyre was a bratty teen and Alina is a peasant girl who’s thrown into the job of being an all powerful queen/saint/goddess. When Alina makes quips and humorous comments, it READS for me. She’s a confused girl who’s trying to battle with the light and the dark inside of her. I feel like this could be said for Feyre too, but I need more from Sarah J. Maas if that was to be insinuated in ACOTAR. Bardugo’s writing has just always made sense to me. This was a refreshing read, so another 4 stars (like my first read through).
